Cooking oil prices in Southeast Sulawesi rose 62.78% in a week.

Cooking oil prices in Southeast Sulawesi reached Rp 28,650 per kg on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Compared to other regions, this represents the highest price increase in the past week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, cooking oil prices in Southeast Sulawesi have increased by 62.78% in the past week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, cooking oil prices in this region have also increased by 62.78%, indicating a significant surge over the past month. Furthermore, compared to prices over the past year, the current selling price of cooking oil in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi is the highest on record.

From January to July 2022, cooking oil prices in modern markets have continuously risen, increasing by 62.78% compared to the previous month.

Cooking oil prices reached their lowest point of Rp 28,650 per kg on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. The highest price reached this year was also around Rp 28,650 per kg.

Nationally, cooking oil prices began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of cooking oil in modern markets is Rp 25,770 per kg, a 15.19% increase compared to the end of last week.
