Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Chili Up, Eggs Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (4/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, garlic bulbs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, mackerel, pure beef, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp310 (1.04%) to Rp30,190 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp40 (0.67%) to Rp5,960 per kg.
