Food Prices Thursday (June 20th) in Yogyakarta Special Region: Sugar, Salt, and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (20/6/2024) at 12.27 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), medium-grain rice, milkfish, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping Rp260 (5.49%) to Rp5,000 per kg. The price of curly red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp2,910 (6.14%) to Rp44,510 per kg.
