Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Prices of Sugar, Eggs, and Chilies Down (Friday, December 15, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (15/12/2023) at 13.27 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, milkfish, Indian mackerel, whole garlic cloves, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,210 (3.3%) to Rp37,910 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp5,820 (9.06%) to Rp58,450 per kg.
