Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra March 18: Chicken Meat Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Some food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 10 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include Honan garlic, bulk palm cooking oil, broiler chicken eggs, shallots, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as red bird's eye chili and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat had the highest increase of Rp332 (0.88%) to Rp38,186 per kg. Red bird's eye chili had the deepest decrease of Rp514 (0.89%) to Rp57,361 per kg.
