Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (9/1/2025) at 11:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, mackerel, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp7,730 (9.66%) to Rp87,740 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp740 (4.08%) to Rp17,380 per liter.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on January 9, 2025, at 11:53 WIB.
