Latest West Sumatra Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (1/7/2024) at 12:13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, red chilies, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, iodized fine salt, bulk cooking oil, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp2,380 (6.56%), reaching Rp38,640 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp3,460 (6.56%), reaching Rp49,320 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on June 1, 2024, at 12:13 WIB.

6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp38,640 per kg (up 6.56%)

9. Milkfish: Rp33,250 per kg (up 5.29%)
