Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Citing food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) at 12.46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 16 increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include consumption salt, dried soybean seeds (imported), premium rice, broiler chicken meat, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, pure beef, fresh buffalo meat (local), skipjack tuna, and Minyakita cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bird's eye red chili saw the highest increase of Rp786 (3.56%) to Rp22,839 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported) saw the deepest decrease of Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
