Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, February 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (7/2/2024) at 10:08 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, pure beef, chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic bulbs, medium rice, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp500 (3.07%), reaching Rp16,800 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) saw the lowest decrease of Rp430 (3.51%), reaching Rp11,820 per kg.
