Today's Food Prices (03/3) in West Java: Onion and Red Chili Prices Fall

Several food commodity prices in West Java were observed to decrease today compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price were red cayenne pepper, broiler chicken eggs, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, large red chili, shallots, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper prices jumped the highest by Rp1,308 (1.56%) to Rp84,981 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the steepest by Rp488 (1.31%) to Rp36,765 per kg.

4. Shallots: Rp38,895 per kg (down 0.3%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp36,855 per kg (down 1.24%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp36,765 per kg (down 1.31%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,727 per kg (down 0.19%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp31,111 per kg (up 0.02%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,324 per liter (unchanged)
