Current Food Prices in East Java: Rice Prices Up, Bird's Eye Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (October 18, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 7 increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with increasing prices include premium rice, chicken eggs, corn at farmer level, medium rice, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, large red chili, dried soybean (imported), bulk wheat flour, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The corn at farmer level commodity surged the highest by Rp275 (4.59%) to Rp6,265 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili dropped the sharpest by Rp1,321 (5.04%) to Rp24,904 per kg.
