Latest West Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (11/6/2024) at 13.21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, medium-grain rice, granulated sugar, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), milkfish, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp460 (1.13%) to Rp41,270 per kg. Shallot prices, on the other hand, decreased the most sharply by Rp430 (1.09%) to Rp39,180 per kg.
