Today's Food Price Update in Central Java: Chili, Onion, and Oil Prices Rise (Tuesday, April 2, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (2/4/2024) at 10:01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean seeds (import), granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,350 (11.27%) to Rp13,330 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) saw the lowest decrease of Rp550 (4.63%) to Rp11,330 per kg.
