Banten Region's Latest Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 14:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, broiler chicken, chicken eggs, kembung fish, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

SPHP rice prices surged the highest by Rp160 (1.3%) to Rp12,500 per kg. Shallot prices, on the other hand, decreased the most sharply by Rp890 (3.4%) to Rp25,270 per kg.
