Latest Food Prices in Indonesia: Eggs Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 22, 2025) at 09:14 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include milkfish, broiler eggs, mackerel, garlic, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chilies, pure beef, medium rice, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Tongkol fish prices surged the highest by Rp1,098 (3.17%) to Rp35,775 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,154 (3.63%) to Rp57,191 per kg.

3. Frozen Buffalo Meat (Imported): Rp103,303 per kg (down 2.3%)

5. Large Red Chili: Rp47,083 per kg (down 2.96%)
6. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp46,936 per kg (down 0.85%)
7. Mackerel: Rp43,026 per kg (up 2.91%)
8. Shallots: Rp39,858 per kg (down 0.04%)
9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,680 per kg (up 1.7%)
