Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Tuesday (August 13th): Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are simple packaged cooking oil, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, and livestock-grade corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), red chili, garlic bulb, and Indian mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp370 (6.28%) to Rp6,260 per kg. Red chili experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp1,290 (2.8%) to Rp44,700 per kg.
