Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Monday (December 30th): Onion Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (30/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), shallots, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,030 (7.41%) to Rp29,440 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn experienced the steepest decrease, dropping Rp390 (6.4%) to Rp5,700 per kg.

7. Mackerel: Rp35,340 per kg (up 1.12%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,730 per kg (up 0.1%)
9. Milkfish: Rp29,440 per kg (up 7.41%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,640 per kg (up 1.13%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,500 per liter (down 1.86%)
