Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices Week of December 15th: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

Food prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, rose today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Sunday (15/12/2024) at 11:32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, shallots, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp2,070 (6.07%) to Rp36,200 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp4,500 (45.0%) to Rp5,500 per kg.
