East Java Food Prices Tuesday (January 7th): Chili Prices Rise, Cooking Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (7/1/2025) at 11:30 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, chicken eggs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, mackerel, shallots, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for livestock-level corn, up by Rp970 (17.54%) to Rp6,500 per kg. The largest price decrease was for bulk cooking oil, down by Rp1,300 (7.05%) to Rp17,140 per liter.
