Indonesian Food Prices Nationwide, Monday (October 28th): What's the Price of Chicken?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (28/10/2024) at 08.07 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulb garlic, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, milkfish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp240 (4.04%) to Rp6,180 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most sharply by Rp1,250 (2.93%) to Rp41,430 per kg.
