Latest Central Java Food Prices: Red Chili Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Drops

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) at 02:28 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 12 saw an increase and 12 saw a decrease.

Commodities with price increases include broiler eggs, curly red chili, red onion, garlic bulbs, and red bird''s eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, dried soybean (imported), mackerel, farmer-level corn, and medium-grade rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili prices surged the most by Rp4,796 (10.57%) to Rp50,189 per kg. Meanwhile, fresh buffalo meat (local) prices dropped the most by Rp1,875 (1.3%) to Rp142,813 per kg.
