Today's Food Prices in Bali: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (17/8/2024) at 13.41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, SPHP rice, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp480 (2.03%) to Rp24,170 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp1,270 (3.53%) to Rp34,720 per kg.
