Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra, What is the Price of Beef?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (22/4/2025) at 16:35 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, shallots, Minyakita (a brand of cooking oil), and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, table salt, Indian mackerel, dry soybeans (import), and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp700 (1.89%) to Rp37,652 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the steepest price decrease, down by Rp2,853 (4.59%) to Rp59,258 per kg.
