Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region, Friday (May 10th): Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (10/5/2024) at 14.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, chicken eggs, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, chicken meat, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,890 (5.76%) to Rp34,730 per kg. Bulk wheat flour experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp220 (2.45%) to Rp8,770 per kg.
