Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (15/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, garlic cloves, SPHP rice, red chilies, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,510 (13.62%) to Rp12,600 per kg. Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) experienced the largest price decrease of Rp1,190 (9.79%) to Rp10,970 per kg.

9. Red Onions: Rp22,700 per kg (down 0.87%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp20,520 per kg (down 7.4%)
