Latest Food Prices in Indonesia: Oil, Cayenne Pepper, and Salt Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (October 28, 2025) at 09.13 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 21 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are corn at the farmer level, fresh buffalo meat (local), and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic bulb, Minyakita, large red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The mackerel commodity increased the most by Rp51 (0.12%) to Rp41,954 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili decreased the sharpest by Rp2,790 (5.99%) to Rp43,807 per kg.
