Local White Sugar Prices in Modern Markets, April 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 16:23 WIB, the daily price of local granulated sugar in Jambi province's modern markets showed no change compared to the previous day or the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp18,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Jambi over the past three months has increased by 0.83% from the previously recorded price of Rp18,000 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was in May 2019, with an increase of 11.66%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2020, with a decrease of -13.54%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Jambi today showed 12 commodities decreased and 14 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Medium I Quality Rice, Red Chili, Green Chili, Beef, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Grade 2 Beef, Chicken Meat, Curly Red Chili, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Super I Quality Rice, and Chili.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in Jambi province:

1. Grade I Low Quality Rice per kg: Rp12,900 (up 2.38%)
2. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp139,900 (unchanged)
3. Grade I Medium Quality Rice per kg: Rp15,700 (down 1.26%)
4. Rice per kg: Rp15,550 (up 1.97%)
5. Medium-sized Garlic per kg: Rp49,750 (up 11.17%)
6. Grade 1 Beef per kg: Rp185,900 (unchanged)
7. Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp18,450 (up 1.1%)
8. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp20,900 (up 3.98%)
9. Branded Cooking Oil Package 2 per kg: Rp20,200 (up 3.86%)
10. Red Onion per kg: Rp40,400 (up 4.12%)
11. Grade II Super Quality Rice per kg: Rp17,200 (up 0.29%)
12. Red Chili per kg: Rp99,400 (down 2.21%)
13. Green Chili per kg: Rp68,250 (down 8.82%)
14. Beef per kg: Rp157,900 (down 8.41%)
15. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp26,900 (down 2%)
