Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Region Saturday (8/11): Red Chili Prices Rise, Sugar Falls

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (8/11/2025) at 2:30 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 showed an increase and 9 showed a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, bulk wheat flour, red cayenne pepper, dried soybean seeds (imported), and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, mackerel, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest jump of Rp1,381 (2.99%) to Rp47,524 per kg. Meanwhile, consumption sugar prices experienced the sharpest drop of Rp335 (1.92%) to Rp17,125 per kg.
