Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onion, Oil, and Chili Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (September 4, 2025) at 14:28 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are milkfish, curly red chili, corn for livestock farmers, packaged cooking oil, and red cayenne pepper.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, Minyakita, consumption salt, consumption sugar, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The commodity large red chili saw the highest surge of Rp1,095 (3.42%) to Rp33,111 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of skipjack tuna saw the deepest drop of Rp346 (1.07%) to Rp32,013 per kg.
