Latest Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Region: Red Chili, Cayenne Pepper, and Egg Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (October 5, 2025) at 14:30 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, premium rice, red cayenne pepper, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, SPHP rice, packaged cooking oil, consumption sugar, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,182 (2.41%) to Rp50,182 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,702 (5.37%) to Rp47,571 per kg.

9. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp32,773 per kg (up 1.41%)
