East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Thursday, March 28, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (28/3/2024) at 11:14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, garlic cloves, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up Rp310 (4.55%) to Rp7,130 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was red chili, down Rp1,310 (4.74%) to Rp26,330 per kg.
