Latest West Sumatra Food Prices: Sugar Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (12/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), medium rice, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, pure beef, red chili peppers, SPHP rice, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most by Rp1,320 (4.13%) to Rp33,250 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most sharply by Rp3,130 (8.65%) to Rp33,060 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on August 12, 2024, at 16.13 WIB.
