Today's Food Prices in Banten on March 12: Red Chili Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Several food commodity prices in Banten today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 15:46 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are curly red chili, shallots, bulk palm cooking oil, large red chili, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Honan garlic, chicken eggs, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp667 (1.49%) to Rp45,417 per kg. Meanwhile, the red bird's eye chili price dropped the sharpest by Rp2,500 (2.64%) to Rp92,292 per kg.
