Current Food Prices in Banten: Salt Prices Rise, Sugar Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (16/7/2024) at 08.39 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are wheat flour (bulk), iodized fine salt, premium rice, red chilies, and livestock-grade corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, shallots, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp4,700 (64.38%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp5,530 (16.4%) to Rp28,190 per kg.

8. Milkfish: Rp28,190 per kg (down 16.4%)
9. Shallots: Rp27,970 per kg (down 6.67%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,660 per kg (down 1.07%)
