10 Provinces with the Highest Shallot Prices (Monday, February 14, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 42,670 per kg, as of Monday, February 14, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 42,570 per kg.

The daily price of shallots in modern markets in West Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 59,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of shallots in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 90,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, shallots were sold at Rp 55,500 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of shallots in Gorontalo was Rp 51,000 per kg, North Maluku Rp 50,200 per kg, and East Kalimantan Rp 44,650 per kg.

Meanwhile, eight provinces had shallot sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest shallot selling prices were East Java, Jambi, and North Kalimantan.
