Current Food Prices in Indonesia: Beef Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) at 09.34 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 20 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are Mackerel fish, SPHP rice, pure beef, frozen buffalo meat (imported), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, consumption sugar, broiler eggs, packaged wheat flour, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel fish prices surged the highest by Rp569 (1.37%) to Rp42,094 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,897 (6.58%) to Rp41,158 per kg.

9. Garlic Bulb: Rp37,278 per kg (down 3.18%)
