South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (25/5/2024) at 15.05 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, milkfish, premium rice, broiler chicken, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,700 (6.8%) to Rp42,400 per kg. Mackerel, on the other hand, experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp390 (1.22%) to Rp31,470 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,080 per kg (down 1.06%)
