Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices Thursday (August 15th): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (15/8/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, shallots, red chilies, chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, red chilies, premium rice, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,860 (9.46%) to Rp21,530 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp2,640 (5.18%) to Rp48,360 per kg.
