Current Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (29/12/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, pure beef, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,210 (4.16%) to Rp55,300 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the largest decrease, falling Rp380 (1.18%) to Rp31,840 per kg.
