Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Tuesday, February 6, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (February 6, 2024) at 10:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, milkfish, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most by IDR 1,180 (2.32%) to IDR 52,010 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most by IDR 830 (2.42%) to IDR 33,400 per kg.
