Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (1/7/2024) at 11:41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, curly red chilies, broiler chicken, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp690 (1.71%) to Rp40,960 per kg. Shallots saw the largest price decrease, dropping Rp1,190 (3.14%) to Rp36,750 per kg.
