Daily Price of Branded Packaged Cooking Oil in Modern Markets, December 2023-2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the price of branded packaged cooking oil in Maluku province's modern markets showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, however, the price of branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets has increased from Rp19,700 per kg.

Over the past three months, the price of branded packaged cooking oil in Maluku's modern markets has increased by 36% from its previous trading price of Rp20,000 per kg.

The highest recorded price increase for branded packaged cooking oil in the province's modern markets was in June 2022, at 50%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2020, at -21.24%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic necessities (sembako) in Maluku show ten commodities decreased and seven increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Garlic, Curly Red Chili, Red Chili, Chicken Meat, Small Red Chili, Red Chili, Super I Quality Rice, Medium-Sized Garlic, Rice, and Fresh Chicken Meat.

The following are the prices of basic necessities monitored by PIHPS today, compared to the price changes over the past month in Maluku province:

1. Medium Quality Rice II per Kg: Rp17,200 per kg (unchanged)
2. Low Quality Rice II per Kg: Rp17,050 per kg (unchanged)
3. Low Quality Rice I per Kg: Rp16,200 per kg (unchanged)
4. Chicken Eggs per Kg: Rp38,250 per kg (unchanged)
5. Premium Quality Sugar per Kg: Rp18,500 per kg (unchanged)
6. Garlic per Kg: Rp53,500 per kg (down 8.08%)
7. Large Red Chili per Kg: Rp83,900 per kg (unchanged)
8. Curly Red Chili per Kg: Rp58,000 per kg (down 27.41%)
9. Green Chili per Kg: Rp69,000 per kg (unchanged)
10. Sugar per Kg: Rp18,500 per kg (unchanged)
11. Red Chili per Kg: Rp85,900 per kg (down 19.64%)
12. Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp47,900 per kg (down 12.83%)
