Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (22/10/2024) at 15.27 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, SPHP rice, milkfish, curly red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, shallots, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp7,010 (16.72%) to Rp48,940 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp2,980 (7.9%) to Rp34,730 per kg.
