Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (22/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, fine iodized salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, dry soybean (import), red chili, medium-quality rice (SPHP), and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna increased the most, by Rp2,740 (7.17%) to Rp40,980 per kg. The price of shallots decreased the most sharply, by Rp740 (2.41%) to Rp30,010 per kg.
