Average Length of Schooling in Demak Reaches 8.29 Years in 2025

The average length of schooling (ALS) for residents aged 25 years and above in Demak, Central Java, reached 8.29 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ALS for residents in the region was above the average for Central Java Province, which reached 8.15 years in 2025.

Demak's ALS increased by 0.01 years (0.12%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.28 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the ALS rose by 0.58 years (7.52%).

This ALS indicates that the average Demak resident only attends school up to the 8th grade. However, this ALS is still below the national average ALS of 9.07 years in 2025.
