Daily White Sugar Prices in Traditional Markets in Maluku Province Increased by 0.99% Over the Past Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in Maluku Province showed no change compared to the previous day, consistent with the trend over the past week.

However, compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets has increased from Rp20,150.

Meanwhile, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in Maluku over the past three months has decreased by 0%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in Maluku Province is traded at Rp20,350.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in this province was in March 2022, with a 7.8% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2018, at -6.54%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Maluku show 13 commodities decreased and eight increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Red Chili, Low-Quality Rice II, Beef, Chicken, Grade 2 Beef, Rice, Garlic, Curly Red Chili, Medium-Sized Garlic, Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Fresh Chicken, and Super I Quality Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in Maluku Province:

1. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,350/kg (up 4.66%)
2. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp83,900/kg (unchanged)
3. Red Chili per kg: Rp85,900/kg (down 7.14%)
4. Low-Quality Rice II per kg: Rp16,700/kg (down 2.05%)
5. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp39,050/kg (up 2.09%)
6. Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp77,950/kg (up 2.23%)
7. Beef per kg: Rp139,900/kg (down 15.67%)
8. Chicken per kg: Rp49,900/kg (down 1.96%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per kg: Rp139,900/kg (down 19.09%)
10. Rice per kg: Rp17,000/kg (down 0.87%)
11. Garlic per kg: Rp53,500/kg (down 8.08%)
12. Premium Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp18,500/kg (unchanged)
13. Medium Quality Rice II per kg: Rp17,200/kg (unchanged)
14. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp58,000/kg (down 7.2%)
15. Medium-Sized Garlic per kg: Rp53,500/kg (down 8.08%)
16. Shallot per kg: Rp65,900/kg (up 52.55%)
