Reporting from Katadata, President Prabowo Subianto also signed the Gaza Peace Board Charter during the sidelines of the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) agenda in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday (22/1/2026).
Prabowo then explained Indonesia's reason for joining the board. According to him, this forum is a historic event for Indonesia to contribute to achieving peace in the Gaza region.
"This is a historic opportunity, a real chance to achieve peace in Gaza," Prabowo said after the event, broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
Prabowo claimed that humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip would flow more significantly.
"Humanitarian aid is flowing so rapidly, so much has already entered. I am very hopeful, and Indonesia is ready to participate," Prabowo said.
