Fresh Chicken Prices in Yogyakarta Increase by 35.26% in a Week

The price of fresh broiler chicken in Yogyakarta Special Region reached Rp 39,700 per kg on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Compared to other regions, this represents the highest price increase in the past week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of fresh broiler chicken in Yogyakarta Special Region has increased by 35.26% in the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of fresh broiler chicken in this region has increased by 35.96%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of fresh broiler chicken in Yogyakarta's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the period of January-July 2022, the price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets has continuously increased, rising 35.96% compared to the previous month.

The price of fresh broiler chicken reached its lowest point of Rp 39,700 per kg on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. The highest price reached this year was also around Rp 39,700 per kg.

Nationally, the price of fresh broiler chicken began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets is Rp 43,270 per kg, a 5.36% increase compared to the end of last week.
