Current Indonesian Food Prices, How Much are Chilies?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (16/5/2024) at 16.05 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, iodized fine salt, curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, broiler chicken, premium rice, skipjack tuna, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp430 (0.95%) to Rp45,600 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp400 (1.2%) to Rp33,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas as of May 16, 2024, at 16.05 WIB.
