The price of medium-sized shallots in East Kalimantan is the highest in Indonesia (Friday, July 5, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of medium-sized shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 62,880 per kg, as of Friday, July 5, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 63,820 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 92,850 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized shallots in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 42,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Maluku, the price of medium-sized shallots was sold at Rp 88,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-sized shallots in Banten was Rp 75,450 per kg, in Yogyakarta Rp 74,700 per kg, and in Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 74,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 14 provinces with sales prices of medium-sized shallots below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-sized shallots are North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, and North Sumatra.
